The aim of the awards is to highlight the work of important photographers and give them the opportunity to present it in Greece. Also, to bring the public of Thessaly, Larissa, and the whole of Greece into contact with important photographic works and with foreign creators. The ultimate goal is for the photographs that will be awarded and those that will be selected for the shortlists to be presented in exhibitions and\/or actions that will be organized in the Region of Thessaly and elsewhere. <\/p>

The main selection criteria are: artistic originality in conception and\/or execution, relevance to the theme of each cycle, the narrative and semantic flow and the coherence of the photographs with each other so as to create a unified and coherent series, technical excellence, modernity, photographic style, and most importantly, the emotional impact and reflection on the theme of each Thematic Cycle that the images and the entire photographic series communicate.<\/p>

It is recommended and expected of participating photographers to approach each theme with a broad mind and creativity. The theme of the cycle proposed each time is intended to be a starting point and not a restrictive condition, and is open to any interpretation and any literal or allegorical approach. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Theme: Renaissance<\/strong><\/p>

The Renaissance is not just a historical chapter in European art. It is a constant human need. It is our choice to see the world anew, even when everything around us seems exhausted. It means rediscovering proportion, returning to the essence of the human gaze and looking ahead. If the historical Renaissance put man, light and knowledge at the center, today’s need for a new Renaissance is deeply existential and collective. <\/p>

We live in an era where the climate crisis is not a warning, but an everyday experience. Global warming, extreme weather events and the alteration of landscapes are forming a new background of anxiety. At the same time, global economic pressures, uncertainty and precarious working conditions are squeezing our living standards. But most of all, they are squeezing our inner space \u2014 where dreams, inspiration and creative freedom are born. <\/p>

As a photographic theme, \u201cRebirth\u201d in \u201cTloupas Path\u201d does not simply seek images of optimism. It seeks images of transition: the moment when something breaks and something else begins. That thin zone where loss turns into endurance, decay into care, desolation into re-inhabitation, and silence into voice. Rebirth can be hidden in the face of a person who persists, in a landscape that returns, in a community that rebuilds bonds, in a trace of life in ruins, in a gesture of tenderness in the midst of pressure. Photography can keep visible not only what is lost, but also what insists on being born. <\/p>

For Tloupas PATH, this approach is directly linked to the precious legacy of Takis Tloupas and the stable axis of the relationship between man and his environment. This theme is not an invitation for a beautified return to the past, but a call for a courageous restart. It challenges us to rethink the way we inhabit the world, the way we look at each other, and the way we defend life and creation. Because today, the greatest challenge is not simply to withstand the crisis, but to give birth through it a new possibility for common life. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The TLOUPAS PATH INTERNATIONAL AWARD is an international award addressed to photographers with recognized work, with the criterion that their work has been presented in group or solo exhibitions, and\/or that they have participated in publications, or have published a solo album.<\/p>\n

Submission of entries is free and takes place exclusively through the institution’s website, in the SUBMIT section, by sending a photographic series according to the specifications set for each category.
Each creator can submit from 3 to 5 photos. Photos must be submitted exclusively in JPEG \/ JPG format. It is recommended to use the sRGB color profile, in order to ensure the best and most accurate reproduction of colors on the jury’s screens.
The long side of each photo must be at least 1920 pixels and the size of each file must not exceed 5 MB.
The file name must follow the format Surname_Name_ProjectTitle.jpg, using Latin characters (e.g. padopoulos_Maria_UrbanShadows.jpg).
The EXIF \u200b\u200bdata of the files must remain intact and not be removed or modified before submission.

The Young Photographers Under 30 Award is exclusively open to young photographers, amateur or professional, who are permanent residents of Greece and are in their early stages. It is acceptable, but not mandatory, that they have had solo exhibitions or participated in small group exhibitions, collaborated with magazines, published zines or self-published.
